Pizza Ranch

Image
On my way to Hutchinson, Kansas for a Cosmosphere camp, I went to eat lunch at Pizza Ranch. I have been to Pizza Ranch many times with my Battle of the Books teams. I went with my parents and my friend Miley. My parents had been before, but Miley had not. In the end Miley said it was amazing, and she would come again. At Pizza Ranch, they have lots of choices. Pizza Ranch is a buffet restaurant. They have a salad bar, a chicken bar, pizza bar, dessert pizza, ice cream, and lots of drinks. The service is very good, you can ask for a certain kind of pizza, and they get it out to you in no time. The bathrooms were very nice. I would give Pizza Ranch 4.5 stars, and Miley gave Pizza Ranch 4 stars, I would definitely go back. -Emily

Taco Villa

Yesterday my mom and I ate at Taco Villa. It was very good, they had a wide selection of foods and drinks. I had an enchilada on a corn tortilla. It was one of the best enchiladas I have ever had. I also liked that it was an a container that you could take home if you didn't eat it all. My mom had a burrito and a taco, she said it was very good, but said her favorite part was the cheese dip. Personally I did not like the cheese dip, but if you like spicy food you might like it. Their chips, on the other hand, were very good. The service is very good and there is a lot of seating. The bathrooms were ok, they were a little dirty though. I am giving Taco Villa 5 stars, I would definitely go back. -Emily

The Summer of the Tacos--Part 1--Kim's View

Yesterday, Emily and I spent the afternoon with my mom at her rehab facility in the southwestern part of town. My pressing summer schedule, which included watching the giraffe at the zoo on YouTube to make sure she wasn't having her baby yet and dropping in to see Mom, caused me to need to run by Hy-Vee to grab a premade dessert to take to my monthly bunco group. Procrastination. I'm a professional at it. But an ice cream cake from Hy-Vee can make your friends forget that you were too lazy to cook even though you really didn't have much to do all day. As we were driving down 29th Street to get to 470, we passed by Barrington Village. Emily said, "You've never taken me there." Well, there's a lot of places I've never taken her...but apparently Barrington Village looked like an appealing little shopping center. I did share a fun fact with Emily about Barrington Village. My cousin, Lisa, used to manage the Taco Casa there. She worked there for a long ti...
